WS_FTP LE Instructions

First Things First

Make sure you have downloaded WS_FTP LE from our essential software page here.
You must contact TRX by emailing us at trxinc@trxinc.com or calling us at 1-877-487-9462 so we can setup your personal web site.

The Install

Open the wsftpro.exe or wsftp16.exe file you saved to disk.
The Installation program will begin and show you the screens below.  Fill in these screens as shown and you'll be on your way to uploading your website in no time.

Click Continue.

Click in the bullet next to "Other" and click Next.

Click in the checkboxes next to "At home" and "For personal use" and click Next.

Click the "Accept" button to continue.

Click OK to continue.

Click OK again to continue.

Click OK once again to continue.

Click OK again for the very last time to continue.
You are now ready to connect to your personal website.

Connecting

To open WS_FTP LE go to your Start button then click on Programs, WS_FTP, and WS_FTP95 LE.
After the program has loaded, click on the "New" button to clear out the information currently there.

The enter in the information as shown below, using the username and password you use to connect to TRX, Inc.
Put a check mark in "Save Pwd" so you don't have to reenter your password each time you want to connect.

Click OK to connect to your personal web site.

Make Sure You...

...always connect to the Internet before trying to connect to your personal web site through FTP.
...use the correct username and password.
...spell everything correctly.

Troubleshooting

If you get an Invalid username and/or password error, re-enter your username and password making sure that you don't have caps lock on.
